Default How do progressive lenses work?

I have always wear BIFOCALS with line glasses over the years. But as I noticed, it only makes me look older year after year. I have learned about this progressive glasses "no line Bifocals". How do progressive lenses work?

Progressive spectacle lenses, also called no-line bifocals, are corrective lenses used in eyeglasses to correct presbyopia and other disorders of accommodation. The lens location of the correct addition power for the viewing distance usually only requires small adjustments to head position, since near vision tasks such as reading are usually low in the visual field and distant objects higher in the visual field.

Default study suggests that they may also be able to slow progression of myopi

Progressive lenses provide the closest thing to natural vision after the onset of presbyopia – the normal age-related loss of near vision that occurs after age 40. The gradual change of power in progressives allows you to look up to see in the distance, look straight ahead to clearly see your computer or other objects at arm’s length, and drop your gaze downward to read and do fine work comfortably close up.

While progressive lenses typically are worn by middle-aged and older adults, a recent study suggests that they may also be able to slow progression of myopia in children whose parents also are nearsighted.

Progressive lenses, sometimes called "no-line bifocals," give you a more youthful appearance by eliminating the visible lines found in bifocal (and trifocal) lenses.

It allows you to see both distance, reading or near objects like computer use. It has progression from distance to near and reading.
