Default How do transition lenses differ from tinted lenses?

I am amazed by these transition lenses, but I was wondering how do they differ from tinted lenses? Does anyone know?

Default Transition lenses

Transition lens changes its tint color automatically according to the amount of UV rays that hits the lenses. From dark when you are outdoors, to light wen you are indoors.

While Tinted Lenses, They can soften harsh bright light to relieve eye strain.

A polarized lens filters the light to reduce glare (particularly on highly reflective surfaces such as water, snow, or wet pavement), whereas a tinted lens simply makes everything darker.
