Default Polycarbonated wide view progressives question

I am wearing a progressives lenses and I think they are the standard lens. I got these from my local eyewear store and they cost me too much. I have searched on online optical stores and I came across your website, I am skeptical but I want to try. My question is, I heard wide view progressives are great, I haven't tried them yet, but I also learned that polycarbonated lenses does not work with wide view progressives, how is this true?

I also tried polycarbonated lenses on progressives lens but it did not work out for me. I prefer standard progressives lenses.

Wide view progressives does not guarantee they totally eliminate distortion, what they do is they reduce distortion properties by allowing a wider viewing channel at the center of the lenses. For some reason, there are high prescription that just does not work for Polycarbonated progressives combination. It is better to go with the standard progressives if you want them polycarbonated.
