Transition lenses darkness

I ordered transition lenses, I love the frames, the prescription works great. But I have question regarding the darkness or tint, I don't get them really dark when I go outdoors. Do transitions darken like Tinted sunglasses do?

Transition lenses only darken depending on the amount of UV rays that hits the lenses. If the UV rays is not enough, the lenses will stay clear or just a little change in tint darkness will be present. If you like to have darker lenses, we recommend you go for either Polarized lenses or Tinted lenses.

I ordered Transition glasses and I am not satisfied with the darkness tint when I am outdoors. Can i exchange these to Polarized Sunglasses? Can you change the lenses to Polarized? How much will be the cost?
