Default another question from me :)

I was given two numbers for pupillary distance. Which one do I use?

Do you sell bifocals without the line?

If I select progressive no-line lenses, what determines where the progression starts?

Hi there,

If your optician or optometrist provided two numbers, they are either distance and reading pupillary distance (PD), or right (OD) and left (OS) PD. Let’s say your numbers are 63 and 60. The former, which is always higher, is for distance, and the latter, which is always lower, is for near-vision reading only. Another example: If your numbers are 33.5/32.5, your PD was taken monocularly, meaning one eye at a time. The first number is for your right eye (OD); the second is for your left eye (OS). Click two Pd's then Enter the two numbers on ordering section of the order form.

We offer both standard bifocal and no-line progressive lenses.

To determine where the progression starts either you will provide us with your segment height on the comment box on the order form or if you really dont have that those number it will be our LAb incharge at schultz optical to use a mathematical formula to determine the optimal segment height for progressive lenses. (The same applies to standard bifocals.) This method has provided us with a 98 percent success rate.

If you still have your eye doctor's phone number, call them and ask them what is your son's PD number. Most optometrist will charge $5 for measuring your PD(recommended).
