Polarized lenses are able to block not only direct glare, but also indirect glare which bounces off water or the roadway while driving. When light is reflected from shiny surfaces, it is usually horizontally polarized.
You cannot directly tell the difference between tinted sunglasses and polarized just by purely looking at them. |
