Are plastic eyeglasses frames work well in a high prescription?

I need something light weight that can carry strong prescription, do you think plastic frames work well?

Actually any full rimmed frames can work well in strong prescription lenses. Just make sure that it is high index thinner lens either 1.67 index or 1.74 index lens for thinner and more light-weight lens even in high prescription.
