  • Would wearing prescription eyeglasses help is someone has glaucoma or cataract?

I know these eye conditions comes with age, but normally old people wear eyeglasses. Does it help? Or does it worsen the case?

In cases like pre-surgery or after surgery is done, most doctors recommend you to wear prescription eyeglasses to protect your eyes from light reflections and all. I would say it helps the eyes protected fro severe or further damage as it is prescribed by your optician. So always listen to you eye doctor and follow recommendations.
