Default Choosing Kids glasses

In choosing kids glasses, 1st, you need to know the frame size for a perfect fit.
To ensure the frame size is right for you, the most important figure is TOTAL WIDTH.

To find out your TOTAL WIDTH, you can either measure the hinge to hinge distance of your own frame, or you can measure the distance between the front edges of your forehead.

As long as those numbers are within 5mm of the total width of frame you want to purchase, the frame should fit you perfectly.

Second, we recommend a polycarbonated lenses for your kids glasses, they are stronger than plastic and very durable.

Default The most important criterion

The most important criterion is that children eyeglasses must provide precise vision correction and comfort. Children eyeglasses can be part-time or full-time, depending on personal visual needs. Some kids with severe myopia or hyperopia have to wear corrective glasses during most of their daily activities. And some children are advised to wear their glasses only during studies.

Safety should be given a top priority. Children's eyes are more fragile than adults' and their eyes are still under development. There are several requirements of children eyeglasses associated with safety. Children's eyeglasses should fit well, neither too loose nor too tight. The arms should be long enough in order to go around the ears. Children eyeglasses are usually manufactured with spring hinges, in case of breakage. And the lenses are usually force-resistant.

The first thing to consider is your child's prescription. Some lenses will be thicker that others and some glasses will have to be worn all the time while some can be removed for certain activities. Have your optician narrow your choices down for you by recommending the types of frames that will best suit your child’s individual needs.
