Default Sitting too close to the TV will damage your vision?

Sitting too close to the TV will damage your vision? how true is it? most people from all walks of life told that to all the kids.

I just cant believe because my son keeps watching tv too close since 8months old until now that he is 4 years old.

Im just afraid that if its true then i will blame my self not scolding my son doing that...

Default no evidence that sitting close to the television will damage eyes

There is no evidence that sitting close to the television will damage your eyes. So sit wherever you are most comfortable. Eyes may become tired from sitting too close for long periods, if the light in the room is too dim, or if the picture screen is out of focus.

This is the fact!

Default there are health concerns that are vocalized by many

It's a fact of life that children like to watch television. However there are health concerns that are vocalized by many about letting your kids sit too close to the TV. These were raised in the early days of television when the TV was often affectionately referred to as a radiation box. Obviously there was no radiation danger from watching TV and the technology has advanced beyond what it was originally.

Still the questions about whether it's harmful to watch TV for too long, or sit too close remain. If you're child is not physically active and spends all of his or her time in front of the TV then obviously they will begin to get a little heavy. In this aspect the question about if it is harmful is a definite yes. It's important for kids to get out and have plenty of physical activity in order to grow and develop properly.

Sitting too close to the TV can damage our vision, that is why we need to wear glasses when we were in front or we sit too much on T.V, for protection.
