I am used to wearing lined Bifocals and I want to try out progressives with my new prescription I just got 2 days ago. But I was told i needed to know the Seg height for the frame that I have chosen to make the glasses work for my prescription. How important is it?

Segment height for progressive glasses ensures the correct fitting within the frame that you have chosen. To measure the segment height, you need to have them measured by your eye doctor while you are wearing the particular frame on.
